New Patient Checks
All new patients are invited to have an initial health check to enable us to obtain details of past medical problems and provide better care. If you are on any medications you will be asked to bring in the back of your prescription slip or the boxes of medication you are currently on.
We offer a family planning service which is includes the contraception pill, the emergency pill, coil fits/removals and implanons. Please ask reception staff for more information.
Childhood immunisation and vaccination clinics - are held by our Practice Nurse Joanne Strachan, these are currently held once a month on a Thursday morning.
Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant
The Practice Nursing Team advise on travel immunisation and general health matters. They offer the following management:
- Heart Disease
- Well Person Check
- Cancer Care Service
- NHS Health Checks
- Phlebotomy service
- Cervical Smears
- Health Checks Male & Female
The District Nursing Teams come into the Practice most days and liaise closely with the doctor, when problems are discussed and treatment plans worked out.
Your Health Visitors are able to advise on general health matters. They are particularly concerned with children below the age of 5 years. They are also available for "crisis" visits.
Non-NHS Medical Services
Medical examinations for life assurance, employment purposes, public services vehicle and heavy goods licensing are available by special appointment, please ask at reception. FEE LIST
